Storyline
34 year old Ayumi has been working as the operator of an information center for 10 years. Not that it's possible to find information on the internet, she doesn't get many inquiries, the phone doesn't ring, and she is plagued by feelings of emptiness and loneliness. Ayumi only has to answer 1 or 2 phone calls per day, and these are always from old people, whose only source of information is the telephone. One day, Ayumi is called in to see the Department Manager, along with a few of her colleagues, and is dismissed. Ayumi then feels guided to go back home. There, her father, who had been waiting for many years to hear from her, is waiting.
